Yetti & The Kokonut

Barossa Valley, South Australia

Yetti & the Kokonut is a partnership between Dave Geyer (@geyerwineco) and good mate Koen Janssens (@binkwine). The Pair began making natural wines to create something “a little bit different”, says Geyer.
“We farm organically, not because its trendy but because it’s what we feel best reflects the vineyards,” he says.

“The stuff we make, it can be pretty gnarly or it can be pretty smashable, it really depends on what day of the week it is.

“I want to show the rest of Australia that the Barossa’s not just about big, boozy wines but there’s actually some pretty cool lower alcohol wines coming out of here.”

Prismatic wines underpinned by conscious farming. Texture built around acidity with a wide scope of primary aromas & flavours to delight the senses. The modus operandi here is simple; jovial on the outside but seriously satisfying wine in the bottle. Zero additions, large format vessels, extended skin maceration & lees contact. Kickstarted with a small run of Eden Valley Sercial in 2015, the boys have continued to highlight alternate & fortified varieties in an otherwise homogenous landscape.
